Fez is the oldest of Morocco\'s imperial cities established in the 8th century.

Visit the famous dye pits which colour the wool to create beautiful Moroccan carperts. Also visit the famous leather district where the pits are awash with coloured dyes. Moroccan leather has for centuries been deemed the softest in the world. The great tanning works affords a marvellous spectacle. The floors are filled with an array of different colours. The hustle and bustle around these pits of colour is constant and a wonderful sight and experience.
West of Fez are the hot springs of Moulay Yacoub where warm sulphourous water from 1500 metres below the ground is pumped for swimming and bathing. Also close by to Fez is the Sidi Harazem fountain. Sidi Harazem was the name of a 13th century saint who once gave his blessings to the fountain. The mineral water from the fountain is famous and is sold throughout the country. A Spa is now constructed there.
Explore the old Fez: Fez El-Bali, one of the largest living medieval cities in the world.The entrance to Old Fez is surrounded by cemetaries. Pass through the gates into the medina and you will find yourself in another world of mystery and magic. Within the walls lies an incredible maze of over 9000 twisting alleys and narrow lanes crammed full of all sorts of workshops,cafes, bazaars (shops) and markets. Explore and enjoy this vibrant place. Wander around and enjoy the ambience, buy colourful Berber Rugs and Moroccan handcrafts and listen out for the mule driver's cry "Balek": which means Look Out!
